Oh how I've missed you!

Enjoyed a beautiful cruise to Mexico!

"When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,
what is man that you are mindful of him?" -Psalm 8:3-4

Were in awe at Sea World! (Steph caught this picture on her camera phone!)
Two months after the deployment, Jason was reassigned to beautiful Camp Pendleton, CA! He worked with 1st Marine Regiment as the Training Officer (a desk job that he despised, but learned a lot from). We were extremely blessed to live in a home just 3 blocks from the ocean!
Home sweet home!
Jay became a Green Belt Combat Martial Arts instructor!
And was named the Honor Graduate of his class!
After the course he worked very hard to attain his black belt
and now can train other Marines to be Black belts!
He also qualified Expert for both Rifle and pistol at the range!
He was so excited, he took Steph to the range to teach her the basics of shooting!
(He tried the same with the martial arts, but that didn't go over so well!)
She'll be an expert yet!
It wasn't all work though, we spent a lot of time at the beach just 3 blocks away!
After dinner walks to the sunset became a common trend in our home!
Some friends visited and we buried Jay in the sand!
We tried to take advantage of the beach,
because we didn't think we'd ever live so close to the ocean again!
because we didn't think we'd ever live so close to the ocean again!
It took a lot of research, but we prayerfully purchased a Ford Fiesta!
Well, it had to end sometime, but Jay's orders finally came for him to return to the Midwest where he'll be a Platoon Commander with Fox Company 2/24 out of Milwaukee, WI. It's bitter sweet as he'll miss the Marines, but will get to be closer to family! Lucky for us, coming off active duty he has a "no touch" period of 60 days! So, what's next? We are headed to the Philippines where we'll be spending 2 weeks with Steph's Mom's family, and 4 weeks working with ACTION Ministries. Please pray for the people and children we'll minister to! We should be home in December and cannot wait to catch up with everyone at Christmas!
